Introducing Grace Salisbury as a full-time Project Designer at BNA! Grace rejoins us after earning her Master of Architecture from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island in 2025. She first began interning with the firm in May of 2021, following her second year of undergraduate studies at James Madison University (JMU), where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Architectural Design and a Minor in Sociology in 2023.

“We are extremely happy to have Grace join us as a full-time Project Designer at BNA,” Ben said. “We have been watching her grow into an emerging designer to watch with great skill and all the natural ability to build success. In addition to graduating with accolades from great universities like James Madison and Roger Williams, in a sense she earned an architecture degree from BNA over her years interning, too!”

During her time at BNA, Grace has contributed as an emerging designer and as an intern on a variety of projects, including several structures at Windrush Farm and numerous residences across the North Shore. She also collaborated with Ben Nutter on the design and preservation of his family’s 19th-century barn—a meaningful project that combined heritage with hands-on restoration.

Grace grew up in Middleton, Massachusetts, next door to BNA’s longtime client – and favorite ice cream – Richardson’s Farm. Outside the studio, Grace enjoys traveling along the East coast and spending time at the beach.
